The breast can be increased, reduced, remodeled or simply raised, removing flaccidity. Prostheses serve to enlarge, but not lift, the breast. Whenever possible, we prefer to put the silicon prostheses behind the muscle as this gives a more natural appearance and not the “ball effect”, that an incorrectly positioned prostheses can produce. All breast surgery can be performed using local anesthesia with sedation except when substantial reductions are required.
